Established in Summer 2004, by Benjamin Trigano, M+B is dedicated to presenting the work of emerging to established artists.

Since then, M+B has grown into a well-respected venue for contemporary art, participating in national and international art fairs throughout the year, including Paris Photo, Mexico Art Contemporaneo (MACO), Photo London and Art Paris. In addition, the gallery has a rigorous exhibition schedule that includes approximately eight solo exhibitions and one group exhibition per year. While the primary focus of the gallery has been on photographic work, the program has expanded to include all mediums beginning in Fall 2008.

In addition to contemporary work, M+B also exhibits work that focuses on seminal periods in American culture from the 1950s through the 1970s. M+B was the first to show the work of the most well respected photographer of 60's surfing, LeRoy Grannis, and the work of Gonzo journalist, Hunter S. Thompson.

The gallery has nearly 5,000 square feet of exhibition space divided between two spaces.
